Banana Frosty

Prep Time

5 minutes

Prep Notes

  • For an alternative taste, prepare the recipe as written but instead of cacao powder substitute 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and 1 tsp real maple syrup.

2 frozen bananas

1 T. organic cacao powder

1/2 c.  Unsweetened almond milk (can use rice, or soy milk or regular non-fat organic milk)

¼ tsp. vanilla extract

¼ tsp. ground cinnamon

  1. Place all ingredients together in a strong blender or food processor and whiz until smooth, creamy, and thick like a Frosty, adding more liquid if necessary.
  2. Taste, adding more cocoa if desired (depending on the ripeness of your bananas, you may need to add a little, or a lot more to get a rich chocolate flavor).
  • (You can use just one frozen banana and cut the calories by about 100 and the sugars by 14 grams.  It will be more of a liquid and not thick like a frosty, but still sweet and delicious!)
