These are a tasty alternative at a party. You can vary the seasonings as desired.
about 2 cups
2 T. olive oil
1 T. ground cumin
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp chili powder
1 pinch sea salt
1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
1 dash cayenne pepper
1-15oz can chickpeas (BPA free lining/no salt added likeEden Organic), rinse/drain well
1) Preheat oven to 350
2) Whisk the oil, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, seasalt and pepper, and cayenne pepper together in a small bowl. Add the chickpeas and toss to coat. Spread into a single layer on a baking sheet.
3) Roast in the preheated oven, stirring occasionally, until nicely browned and slightly crispy, about 45 minutes.
4) Correct seasoning (may need to sprinkle a little bit of sea salt).
