Turmeric Tea

This is an anti-inflammatory mug of tea.  All of the spices have anti-inflammatory benefits.  It’s a spicy and satisfying

Be careful of the turmeric because it's yellow pigment will stain your fingers!

Cooking Time

10 minutes


1-2 cups tea


1 tsp cinnamon

Pinch of clove

Pinch of nutmeg

Pinch of ginger or a slice of fresh ginger

2 cups of water

Raw honey to sweeten

Milk alternative of your choice, about 1/3 cup (I prefer unsweetened vanilla soymilk, but almond or coconut milk could be used as well)


Simmer herbs and water together in a medium saucepan on the stove for 10 minutes.

Remove from heat and strain into a heatproof cup. 

To serve, warm and froth your milk. Pour desired amount of tea into a mug; add about 1 tsp of raw honey.  Stir, then add warmed and frothed milk.  Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if desired.
